What is Transport Manager CPC?

Under current legislation large goods vehicle operators seeking or holding an 'O' licence must show that they are professionally competent or employ someone as a Transport Manager who meets that requirement.

In this context, only an individual person can be professionally competent and to become this, the person must pass the CPC examinations set by the Oxford, Cambridge and Royal Society of Arts, Examinations Board (OCR).

Our Transport Manager CPC course is designed to fully prepare students for the examinations set out by OCR.

The course covers 30 different topics covering everything a Transport Manager must know to successfully complete the OCR examinations and gain a Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage Operations or Road Passenger Transport

In addition to equipping students with the tools to pass the examinations our course also ensures students gain the knowledge required to competently manage a transport operation.

Course Eligibility

There are no entry requirements for this qualification (meaning anyone can complete it), it is recommended that students have good English and Maths skills

Qualification

The OCR CPC award is a Level 3 qualification. Level 3 is considered to be an Advanced Level qualification.

Upon successfully passing the examinations set by OCR students will be awarded with a Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage Operations OR Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Passenger Transport.

The OCR CPC qualification is currently a lifetime award, which means that, once obtained, the qualification will not expire, and holders will be considered professionally competent for the rest of their lives. However, annual refreshers are recommended to all Transport Managers to ensure they stay abreast with the latest legislation.

Course Content

Our course will give you all the information, support and resources required to undertake the OCR examination confidently and we offer students multiple study options to cater for different learning styles.

This course is for those who wish to undertake the qualification for either road haulage road passenger transport.

Upon successful competition of the course candidates will be fully prepared to undertake the OCR examinations to gain a Level 3 Certificate in Road Haulage Operations or Road Passenger Transport (depending on which course you study.

Examinations

At present examination fees are included within the price of the training course and will be booked in advance for you at an examination centre local to where your training is being carried out.

Examination Dates

OCR examinations run 4 times per year in March, June, September and December, in line with our classroom based course. The exam will be the 10th day of training. Examinations are held at approved centre's throughout the UK. It is advisable that students book on to exams early to ensure you get a place on your chosen date.

Course Fees

The course fees are £1500 includes the full 10 day, relaxed training course, one to one support, course materials (pens, post-it notes, calculator, writing pad, highlighters etc.), breakfast and lunch each day, online testing to gauge your readiness for your exams, pre-examination training day and examination fees. Accommodation fees are not included within training fees unless clearly stated.
