LIVE ONLINE DRIVER CPC SESSIONS

DSA & JAUPT APPROVED COURSES - £50 PER PERSON, PER SESSION

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have moved our periodic Driver CPC training online. We are using software that allows us to deliver live sessions to you at home. These live sessions are 7-hours long and led by our skilled instructors.

Course fee includes the DSA upload fee and certificate of training.

Please call us on 01406 424500 to book your place on a live session. Payment can be made via credit or debit card at the time of booking.

What is driver CPC?

Driver CPC is a compulsory qualification for all those who drive a vehicle above 3.5 tonnes for a living who do not come under an exemption.

By now, all drivers should have a Driver Qualification Card also known as a DQC (Driver Qualification Card). There are a small number of exemptions, however, if you are a professional large goods vehicle driver (C, C1, C+E or C1+E) or PCV equivalent, then Driver CPC is an ongoing obligation.

Driver CPC is mandated by EU law (Directive 2003/59) and is designed to improve the knowledge and skills of drivers, as well as enhancing safety on our roads.

Driver CPC is an ongoing obligation

How much does it cost?

Students attending open scheduled courses are charged at £60 per person, per session.

Fees for customers having training carried out at their site and groups vary depending on requirements. Please contact us to obtain a free, no-obligation quotation.

Approved JAUPT Training Centres

Only JAUPT approved centres are permitted to carry out driver CPC training. NTP's is approved. Our centre number is AC01050. Never train at a centre that isn't approved or your training will be invalid.

What must a driver do?

Each DQC is valid for five years from the date of issue. This means that – unlike the 2014 deadline set when Driver CPC was introduced – each driver’s renewal date is unique to them.

All drivers must undertake 35 hours’ periodic training before the end of the five years following the issue date on their DQC. If the training is not undertaken during that time, they will not be permitted to drive professionally until they have completed their 35 hours of periodic training.

The best way to ensure that a DQC doesn’t lapse is to carry out at least one day’s mandatory periodic training every year.

You can check how many hours of training you’ve done in the current 5-year period.

You only need to complete one set of training every 5 years if you drive both lorries and buses professionally.

You have to do the training in the country where you work or normally live.

How we can help you get your DQC

We can offer you a variety of different courses, running all over the UK, at either a venue local to you or on your site if you have suitable training facilities available.

We have courses available for both HGV & PCV.

All training is classroom-based as per JAUPT's terms. This course is an attendance course only so there is no testing.
